ACAPT holds an annual business meeting to conduct ACAPT business related to its purpose & objectives, including:
- Amend, suspend, or rescind the standing rules;
- Enact and, where appropriate, enforce ACAPT policies;
- Approve all resolutions and opinions in ACAPT's name;
- Reverse or modify decisions of the ACAPT's Board of Directors.
Starting in 2023, ACAPT is also holding held an annual separate virtual meeting for proposed amendments to ACAPT's bylaws and standing rules. This special meeting, primarily focused on the operations of ACAPT, helps keep the ACAPT annual business meeting focused on member-initiated strategic motions that positively impact the academic PT profession.
