Addressing mental health issues

Jan 8, 2020

ACAPT has created a task force to identify best practices for academic programs to support and improve students’ and clinicians’ health and well-being. In May 2019, 461 academic faculty and 209 clinical faculty completed a survey for the task force and the data is currently being reviewed.

Two students from the APTA Student Assembly board of directors also worked with ACAPT to capture data from as much of the current student body as possible.  The student survey will identify the:

  • presence and frequency of mental health issues,
  • where students go for help, and
  • feedback on the adequacy of student support at their educational institutions.

Please encourage your students to participate in the survey here
